House Responsibilities Guide

TCBIN · In Partnership with Ministry of Compassion

1

Daily Personal Cleanup

Every resident is responsible for cleaning up behind themselves daily. Wash your own dishes immediately after use, wipe down any counter or table you use, and keep personal belongings in your assigned space.

2

Weekly Zone Assignments

Shared cleaning duties are divided into four rotating zones: Kitchen, Bathroom, Common Area, and Whole House Check. Each resident is assigned a zone for the full week; assignments rotate every Monday.

3

Community Service Requirement

Residents without a permanent job: minimum 10 hours/week. Employed residents: 3–5 hours/week depending on work schedule. Hours must be logged and verified.

4

30-Day Employment Requirement

Residents without a job at intake have 30 days to secure employment. A written 15-day extension may be requested before the deadline. Continued residency requires documented job-search effort.

5

Sign In / Sign Out

Residents must sign in and out every time they enter or leave the residence. No leaving without signing out. Repeated failures may result in removal.

6

Respond to Staff Communications

Residents must respond to all communications from staff, the program director, and facility owners. Failure to do so may result in removal.

7

Curfew Compliance

Sun–Thu: 10:30 PM–6:00 AM. Fri–Sat: 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. Request adjustments from your house assistant if work schedules require.

8

Medication Management

All medications must be legally prescribed and taken only as directed by a licensed physician.

9

Drug & Alcohol Testing

Random drug and alcohol testing may be conducted during residency. The residence is a drug-free and alcohol-free environment.

10

Room Inspections

Staff may enter and inspect rooms at any time without prior notice to ensure the home is clean, safe, and accountable.
